"This policy will not protect Australian families, in fact, it may lull parents into a false sense of security, lowering their vigilance when it comes to supervising their children's on-line activities. Today, there exist no technical solution for ISP level filtering that is effective, accurate and which cannot be easily circumvented. What this policy will achieve is to set Australia on a dangerous course of censorship without any tangible benefits. The fact that it has been reported that the majority of Australians support this move is very worrying, pointing to an urgency to educate the general public about the limited benefits and large risks involved with the policy."
