• Simon Hackett: Conroy’s wrong on net filtering

Senator Stephen Conroy, the Minister responsible for the Government’s plan to censor the Internet, had a piece in The Punch earlier this week, titled “Don’t believe the myths on the ISP filter”.  He began by stating that there was “a lot of misinformation circulating about the Government’s ISP-level filtering proposal” and that he’d “like to outline the facts.”

Today Simon Hackett, Internode Managing Director, responds to Senator Conroy’s piece, saying “I think it’s important to set the record straight and look at the ‘truth’ behind each of his assertions.”  It is an excellent piece and I would encourage you all to read it here.
